Prop stylist Nyssa Zinn recently teamed up with Marcus Hay, director of Studio Marcus Hay, Inc., to work on a shoot for his magazine, Curio. “When he asked me to work on the project, I was super excited!” Nyssa told us. Marcus had already come up with a concept – to showcase his experience of San Francisco – and the vision felt natural to Nyssa. “Seeing the city I’m from through Marcus’ lens was a unique opportunity,” she said.
Though based in New York City, Marcus spends much of his time in San Francisco, which has helped him develop a special relationship with the city we call “home.” His stories about Heath Ceramics and Tartine Bakery were both styled by Nyssa, while his piece about Case for Making was shot by another Poppy creative, photographer Sean Dagen. Read issue #10 of Curio, called Artful City, and see images from the shoot below.
